Sean & Shannon Jones
Youth Pastors
Sean is originally from Houston, Texas. He has been working with youth since his junior year in high school. He worked on summer staff at a Christian camp for four summers. He spent almost every weekend while attending Stephen F. Austin planning lock-ins and retreats for youth groups. He was on staff with Youth With A Mission in Denver, CO and worked with King's Kids for 2 years. Prior to moving to Austin in July of 2002 he was a bi-vocational youth pastor for 8 years in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Shannon grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended a non-denominational church where her father was the assistant pastor. When she graduated from high school she began helping with the youth group. She decided she loved it and continued to work with that group for 10 years. Shannon also worked for a non-profit Christian organization for 4 years and worked in management at a doctor's office for 8 years.
Sean and Shannon enjoy partnering together in ministry and have a passion to see youth develop a strong, lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. They are excited about cell-based youth ministry and have seen the fruit of using this model since 1995. They have five children, Abby, Caleb, Megan, Becca and Elyse. When they have free time they love hanging out with their family, kayaking, camping, going to sporting events, and supporting youth in their school activities.
