David Allen
Facilities Manager
David Allen came to Hope in the City in the summer of 2007. He immediately got involved in everything that our church has to offer, including enrolling in the 07-08 School of Church planting. He and his wife, Bethany, have served as Sunday school teachers for the same elementary, now turning middle school, students for the past two years. They are also co-leaders of a Hope Group who have hearts to serve the needs of a community of refugees in North Austin.
David brings 12 years management experience in the hospitality industry to help serve our community. This comes in handy as David also serves as one of our Sunday morning Welcome Team leaders. He has recently returned to school to complete his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. In the future David and Bethany hope to serve long term overseas in Sub-Saharan Africa.
"Being the Facilities Manager gives me the opportunity to devote my time and efforts to serving my Lord and my Church family. I have been so blessed by the people I have come to know and love through this body of believers, and I enjoy getting to give back to this community with all I can offer."
In his spare time David enjoys spending time with his wife. The two were married on June 14th, Flag Day, of 2008. He also loves to play golf, watch movies, and loves animals.
