Melanie Devereaux
Director of Operations & HFN Administrator

I love my job! It's what I am made for. It gives me the opportunity to do ALL of the things I'm passionate about - helping to carry out the vision of HITC, seeing people launched to the nations to bring in worshippers for the King, organizing, problem solving, loving people to Jesus, and taking care of business!
My background is in Education and Human Resource Management. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, I taught elementary school for 5 years in Austin and Tokyo, Japan before making a career change to Human Resources Management in the corporate world (MCC and Motorola). My family and I later served as missionaries in Indonesia for 4 yrs through Hope Chapel and Marriage Ministries International.
My passion is hearing people's stories and listening for the thumbprints of Jesus in them. My greatest desire is to see people catch the understanding of how much Jesus loves them and yearns for them to know Him.
One of my greatest joys is working with the HITC staff. They are some of my favorite people in the world, and I LOVE teaming with them to carry out this mighty vision of building a community of worshippers, disciplers, and Kingdom builders.
Another of my greatest passions is travelling and experiencing different cultures. I'm a lover of diversity and change. I love interacting with people and cultures from all different lands, and I find great joy in exploring new places. Not sure which hemisphere is my favorite!
I'm an adventure girl. I love to take risks (with wisdom, of course), and I love being active. I love the adventure of following Jesus!
Duane, my Handsome Honey of 24 years and a lifetime to come! The joys of my life, my daughters, Emily and Jessie. I love my two pets, Ziggy our cat, and Sunny our handsome Golden Retriever.
