Sarah Roden
Business Administrator
Sarah Roden has been working in the accounting field since she graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Professional Accounting degrees in 1997. While she was still in college, she married her high school sweetheart, Will Roden. Several years later, they had two beautiful girls, Zoe & Ava.
Sarah Roden has been working for Hope in the City in accounting since 2002 when she got a little restless staying home full-time with a two-year-old. A small part-time job slowly turned into a big part-time job as she learned the surprisingly complicated details of church financial management. She took over as Business Administrator when her beloved boss and mentor moved overseas to be a missionary. She feels that it must a God given gift that she so enjoys details and numbers. She loves being in an environment where she can serve God by helping her fellow coworkers by handling the details so they can go focus on their pastoral roles.
Sarah is a native Austinite who loves spending time with her family. She enjoys cooking, reading, hanging out with her friends and hope group members, needlework, and home improvement. She is a die-hard Texas Longhorns football fan. She is surprisingly good at fantasy football, even though she is a girl.
