Susan Ruthenbeck
Administrative Assistant
Susan and her husband, Mark moved to Austin in July of 2005 from the Chicagoland area. Susan is a Registered Nurse by profession but has chosen to use her organizational skills in our office. She has been a Hospice Nurse and her passion continues to be helping others. In her previous church she served as their first hired staff as the Small Group Coordinator.
Susan has been a High School Youth Counselor. She has led two summer programs where the children experienced life set in Biblical times, managing five different churches and over 300 children. She has participated and led several Women's Groups.
Susan and Mark have two grown children and are the grandparents of Carolina, who lives in North Pole, Alaska.
In her spare time, she enjoys being at her computer screen and watching her granddaughter via webcam. She is an avid reader and loves to spoil her Old English Sheepdog, Anni. After spending time in South Africa this past summer, she has found a new passion, serving others and sharing God's Word and purpose for them. As part of her duties, Susan helps Trudy with the Children's Ministry.
