Kay Beims

Kay Beims has been serving HITC as bookkeeper since June 2007. Having previously served in the same role for two churches and operating her own business for five years, she's got a lot of experience in keeping track of money. People who know her well are often heard saying "let's ask Kay to do that" when they need to get things organized, as that's clearly one of the roles for which God has made her. She's also serving as a Hope Group co-leader.
Kay grew up in a large (four brothers and six sisters) Kansas farm family. After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Business Administration, she moved to Austin in 1981 with her high-school-sweetheart-turned husband. Family has always been of utmost importance to her, and she's blessed with a son and daughter (both of whom work as accountants), daughter-in-law, granddaughter and grandson living here in Austin. Ask her what she'd like to do with some spare time, and it will most likely involve some sort of physical activity with family and friends. Things like playing tennis, going for walks, playing games. Or simply enjoying long conversations with friends. Or building new friendships. In her quiet times she loves to read, solve puzzles and do creative things like sewing or crafts.
