Updated 10-6-08 from Hope in the City at office@hopeinthecity.org:
Scott Morris' surgery was successful. The surgeon found that the tumor was 'dead' and believes he was able to remove all of it. It is expected that Scott will be in the hospital in Phoenix for a week or so and then in rehab for another week. The Morris' ask that you please continue to pray for Scott's recovery and that every area of his brain will be healthy. They have no needs at this time...we'll update you as the time gets closer to the family's return to Austin. God is good and very faithful.
From Hope in the City at office@hopeinthecity.org for Scott Morris:
Pray now for Scott Morris! He is going into surgery in order to get a tumor removed.
Prayer Requests:
1) surgery starts at 9:00 (11:00 Austin time). Expected to be 5 to 8 hours
2) using an experimental die which dies the cancer cells but not healthy tissue. Pray that surgeon gets ALL of the cancer tissue. It is believed to be about golfball sized.
3). Their girls are a little stressed. Pray for peace and that they see God show up for them.
4) pray for the normal stuff around major surgery.
