Update 3-30-09:
Joe Vela is home from the hospital as of Tuesday, 3-31-09.
He is healing and praising God for all the blessings in his life.

Update 3-27-09 at 10:00a.m.: Kathy Pulido just called the church and said that Joe was experiencing some anxiety Wednesday night. The doctors ran some tests on him and the high anxiety turn out to be a mild heart attack. He had 90% blockage in one of his arteries. They did a surgical balloon procedure to expand his artery to clear the blockage. He is doing fine now but is still at the hospital. Kathy will keep us up to date as things progress. Keep praying church! Joe is a dear gift to Hope in the City and serves us every Friday by making sure the Sanctuary is ready to go for Sunday Service. Let's serve him through our prayers, support and love.

p.s. Joe is very optimistic this morning and continues to praise God for the blessings in His life. I think He would be encouraged if we too stopped and gave thanks to God for all that we have and everything HE is to us. God is good and he is taking care of our Joe.
Posted on 3-25-09: My grandpa and HITC member, Joe Vela, is in the hospital with a swollen pancreas. (3-25-09) They have him on morphine and he cant eat anything. If we can just all join together and agree on complete healing and for him to be pain free.
