Update on 3/18/09: Just wanted to follow-up that Carden is healing! Thanks for your prayers. We did finally get to see the orthopedist and discovered after an x-ray of the top of his foot(which had not been done before) that he did break the large metatarsal which is just below the big toe. The doctor said that there really wasn\'t anything to do. Children his age heal very quickly. They would have cast it if she, the doctor, had seen him earlier. We praise God for a quick healing and His continued protection.
Thanks for the prayers,
Suzanne for the Van Hoorns
Update on 3/9/09: Carden is still not better. He initally had an x-ray that showed no broken bones. Then this week we returned to our pediatrition for a follow-up and they took another x-ray that showed no problem. Carden was actively running around before and now is only able to crawl around or make attempts at hobbling on his left foot. He repeatedly reinjured his leg this week which was very sad for mommy. We are guessing he may have severely pulled a muscle. Our pediatrition has given us a referral to a pediatric orthopedists for Tuesday this next week. Please continue to pray for complete healing and that the doctor can acurately diagnose the problem.

Posted on 3/2/09: Carden our 19 month old was running around earlier today and fell. We are trying to figure out what he may have hurt. It may be his left ankle. He continues to cry and won't stand up on his feet. I have made an appointment for 6:50 p.m. tonight at the After hours clinic where our doctors see patients at night. Please pray for him. John will probably drive him up there (it's at Far West Blvd.), but as you know traffic will be bad and we have had to wait at the clinic before for quite a while. This could be an all evening event. Since we have had two freak elbow breaks on Anna, I want to make sure Carden is o.k. I will be holding the fort down at home.
Thanks everyone,
