Let me share some great news: KATHERINE'S TRACH HAS BEEN REMOVED!!!
Yesterday, on day 93 of her difficult detour, around 2 PM the trach
was removed and the hole at the base of her neck was closed with a special
medical dressing. This should reduce Katherine's respiratory irritations and
secretions along with making it easier to talk. But most importantly, the
trach's removal should facilitate getting her swallowing mechanism restarted.
Then when Katherine is able to swallow, the feeding tube can be removed and
eating real food will boost her spirits and help her regain weight and strength
which will fuel her climbing the rugged mountain of recovery!
Keep
praying! Intercede specifically for her to swallow. God is growing our
miracle!
"Do not throw away your confidence, which has a great
