What is HOPE WORKS?
HOPE WORKS is an exciting, new, and expanding ministry at Hope in the City. Its purpose is to effectively respond to financial and practical needs in the church in a loving and accountable manner in order to help restore individuals to a productive and abundant life. Or, in other words, to be Jesus to those in need.
What We Do?
HOPE WORKS helps respond to expressed financial/practical need from within the church body. Our hope is to not only partner with individuals and families in helping meet their expressed need, but to also walk with them in prayer and belief in God's hopes and purposes for their lives.
The Role of Hope Groups
Ideally, need within the church body will be expressed in the Hope Group setting where a small group of believers can embrace each other's needs and effectively respond. However, HOPE WORKS is available to assist Hope Group leaders with ideas and resources in their effort to respond to need.
The Future of HOPE WORKS
HOPE WORKS desires to expand within the church in several ways. We hope to help create an atmosphere in the church in which all members are free to express and meet financial/practical needs, as was done in the early church. We also desire to expand HITC's outreach efforts in the Austin community through providing opportunities and diverting resources to current and future outreach efforts.
How to Contact HOPE WORKS
If you would like to get involved with this ministry, or if there is a need we can discuss, please contact Brian Weber, Amy Nevland or Tasha Butler through calling the HITC offices at 512-892-HOPE (4673).
