What Are Hope Groups?

We are committed to being a church OF small group communities rather than simply a church WITH small groups. Some use the term cell-based church. We prefer to call ourselves a cell-celebration church. Whatever you call us, we are keenly aware that Hope Groups are an extremely vital part of our church's DNA. Why?

Hope Groups are not simply:

• Bible studies - although we focus on applying the truth of the God’s Word.
• Fellowship groups - although authentic relationships are formed here.
• Prayer groups - although we always make time for prayer.
• Task groups - although each group has a mission – they are outward-focused.

Hope Groups are discipling communities committed to live out the 5 values God has given us: Worship, Christian Community, Spiritual Maturity, Ministry, and Kingdom Growth.

Hope Groups meet weekly in homes, apartments, and dorms throughout the city.

Hope Groups consist of between 5 and 25 people there are groups made up of youth, college age, adults and families. Some are intergenerational.

Hope Groups welcome anyone with a desire to encounter the life-giving reality of Jesus Christ in authentic community.
