1) Intensify the process of being conformed to the image of Christ. We will position ourselves to be transformed through practicing the spiritual disciplines. We will seek to create an environment which encourages growth and fruitfulness in every area of life.IN D-SCHOOL WE WILL...
2) Clarify our unique gifts and callings through study, learning from gifted leaders, and stepping out into various ministry experiences to "road test what's under the hood".
3) Become more missional WHEREVER we are. We will start by becoming more missional in our own network of relationships.
4) Be trained up into more effective and dedicated "workers" in the Kingdom.
5) Prepare ourselves to pursue God's call on our lives - even to the ends of the earth. D-School is one of the first steps for anyone wanting to join a Hope for the Nations churchplanting team overseas.
D-SCHOOL IS FOR EVERYONE - Recent College Grads, Empty-nesters, Young Couples and Families, you name it!
Applicants are not expected to have already achieved
any particular level of spiritual maturity.
D-School is an exciting opportunity for character-building, training,
and growth - and we invite you to come along with us on this amazing journey!
Thinking about Applying?
SCHOOL SCHEDULE:
- Monday & Wednesday from 6:00-9:30pm.
- We start with a community meal (plus interactive discussion), worship and\or affirmation.
- Mondays will generally focus on teaching, training, and impartation.
- Wednesdays will generally focus on "labs" - where we process and practice what we've learned earlier in the week or reach out to the community together (evangelism, "treasure hunting", blessing the poor, or other creative ways to engage our community with the Good News of Jesus).
- Once every 1-2 months, we'll gather on Saturdays for special training, retreats, or events.
COST:
- $125\month for D-School (7 months)
- Choose to give an additional $100\month toward your Spring Break Outreach Trip, or raise the needed funds in the second half of the year.
- Childcare: available at an additional cost, depending on number of students needing childcare (Mondays only)
