Becoming a Member
Partners in Hope
We warmly welcome anyone, any age, of any race or church background. (We especially excited about those who have NO church background.) Our expectation of potential members is that you love Jesus Christ with all of your heart. (Why would even want to join a church otherwise?) We encourage you to demonstrate your allegiance to Christ through water baptism before joining.
Here are the steps to becoming a Partner in Hope (PIH or member).
1. Attend Discover Hope.
2. Sign a PIH Commitment Form having agreed to the six commitments.
3. Turn in or mail in the form.
4. You will be introduced to the congregation on a 'Welcome Sunday' which takes place about five times a year.
Discover Hope!
3 class series: January 15th, 22nd and 29th, 2012
This is the first step in membership and becoming a Partner In Hope. Discover Hope is a 3 part series of classes that will introduce you to Hope in the City. Come and meet the Pastoral Staff, Learn about our Vision & Values, The Staff & Leadership Roles, Specific Ministries of the church, Hope for the Nations, Hope Groups & Ways to Be Involved? Class one is part of the Discover Hope Brunch, held after the Sunday service from 12 to 1 p.m. Classes 2 and 3 are from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on consecutive Sundays. The next classes meet January 15th, 22nd and 29th.
1. CLASS #1: 1st Class we will be sharing the History/Background, Children's Ministries, Parent Classes (Discover Hope Brunch)
2. CLASS #2: Worship & Prayer, Hope Groups, and our Youth Ministries
3. CLASS #3: We will be sharing about our vision statement, Hope For the Nations, College Ministries & Service Opportunities
