Who serves each Sunday Morning? Everyone!
We believe in the feeling of "family" at HITC and so we encourage college and high school students, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, those with their own children and those without to come and spend some time with the awesome Children of Hope. We learn to love one another as we serve the children of our friends, we feel more a part of the Body of Christ as we hang out with those Jesus asks us to become like.
HITC implements a team teaching concept - two teams rotate, each teaching two Sundays per month so that the children can have a familiar face and teachers can attend the adult meeting twice per month. All teachers receive a tape of the message they miss although most feel they've been to church when they have spent time with the children!
Any adult serving in the classroom has an application on file in the Children's Ministry office and has been screened. This policy protects the children, adults and the church. It is our goal to equip adults and teens to effectively minister with children.
We love to see people come alongside Children's Ministry and become a part of the team. We provide several different levels of commitment so that everyone can find a place from baby-snuggling to relay racing!
