Unveiling the Plan

After months of seeking God and getting input from the HITC congregation, the leadership team has formulated the new vision and 5 year plan for Hope in the City. Pastor Ron will share it with you this Sunday!

Welcome Lunch | after church

Would you like to meet the pastoral staff and learn more about Hope in the City? Join us for lunch immediately following the service this Sunday, in the HFN room (across the parking lot in our office space. Look for the signs.) This will be a fun, informal time of getting to know our staff and other newcomers. Children are welcome and will have childcare provided by reservation only. Stop by the Connection center to register or email susanru@hopeinthecity.org

Crown Financial Info Meeting | 12:30pm

This information meeting will be this Sunday in the Community Room after church at 12:30 p.m. The Crown Financial Biblical Study is a 10-week class on what God says about money and it will be starting Thursday, September 25. Discover Hope | 5:30 - 7:00pm

More Sunday School Teachers Needed!

Just a few more Sunday School teachers and helpers needed for the 100+ HITC kids and their friends who come every Sunday morning! Kids classes still in need:

Toddlers, Fours, Kindergarten and 2nd Grade teachers for Team 1 dates – the first two weeks of Sept, Oct and Nov.

1-4 Grade grade small group leaders for Team 2 dates – the last two Sundays of Sept, Oct and Nov.

Prayer Shields

Sunday, September 14

Prayer Shields meet to cover each of our overseas teams in prayer. Every second Sunday of the month we meet in the HFN room at 8:30 a.m. for a time of worship, sharing testimonies from all the teams, and hearing a brief exhortation on prayer. At 9:00 a.m. the individual teams go to separate areas of the building to pray for specific team requests. EVERYONE is welcome. HITC PRAYER MINISTRY.

Opportunity for Artists and Crafters

We are needing people to make gifts for our HITC team to take to the employees of two men’s clubs we are reaching out to. Jewelry, mementos, small crafts, etc. are wonderful. Also, we need lots of cookies to take! If you would like to help with either of these needs, please contact Brenda Matyis at bmatyis@austin.rr.com or Melanie Devereaux at melanied@hopeinthecity.org. Our next visit to the club will be early next month.

Parenting Seminar

“Parenting is Heart Work” 1-Day Seminar

Two awesome authors - Joanne Miller and Scott Turansky (they’ve written several books, Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining and Bad Attitudes in You and Your Kids, Good and Angry: Exchanging Frustration for Character, and Parenting is Heart Work) are coming to HITC!

This will be an interactive and fun seminar that you (and your friends and neighbors) will enjoy.

Healing Prayer Ministry
