spring break 2012

This year we are staying in Austin and will be doing outreaches during SXSW! This will be the first year in over a decade that we haven't traveled outside of Austin and we are extremely excited to release the love of Jesus in our hometown! We have deep compassion for the people of Austin and strongly believe that God wants to impact them with the love of Jesus. The trip will be from March 9th-13th. If you are a student and would like to join us please contact one of the staff members on the contact page. The cost will approximately be $100 and will include food, gas, and a super sweet t-shirt. Also, please contact one of the staff members if you want more information on how to raise money for the trip. 

spring break 2011 

Every year, groups from Hope242 make short term team trips inside and out the United States to love people and share the good news that God is near us. Last year, we partnered with the college group from Antioch church in College Station and went to Baton Rogue, Louisiana on March 11th-18th. We told people about Jesus and the salvation that He brings, as well as participated in a few service projects. It was such an amazing trip! Numerous people encountered the love of God and experienced His freedom! Check out the fundraising ideas below to help raise money. 

spring break 2010 

From March 12 to March 19, 2010, twenty-nine people travelled deep into the Valley to Brownsville, Texas for spring break. Our vision was simple: Tell anyone and everyone we met that Jesus loves them and is inviting them intorelationship with God. Then, teach those interested to obey Jesus and listen to the Holy Spirit and gather them together in small community. We shared our lives, prayed for the sick, and ate meals together. The week was truly unlike anything we had experienced before. We watched as before our eyes God healed, used the simple to shame the wise, restored people, and gave people hope and purpose. summer trips

Almost every summer a small group of students in Hope 242 go on a trip overseas to tell people about Jesus. This summer (2012) we will be traveling across the great Pacific Ocean to preach the gospel and share the Good News!
