Spring Break Trip to Brownsville

From March 12-March 19, twenty-nine people travelled deep into the Valley to Brownsville, Texas for spring break. Our vision was simple: Tell anyone and everyone we met that Jesus loves them and is inviting them into relationship with God, teach those interested to obey Jesus and listen to the Holy Spirit, and gather them together in small community. We shared our lives, prayed for the sick, and ate meals together. The week was truly unlike anything we had experienced before. We watched as before our eyes God healed, used the simple to shame the wise, restored people, and gave people hope and purpose. And God is not done. Visual and Performing Arts Night

For the past five years, every spring we have taken a Friday night to celebrate the artistic gifts God has given us as a body. Being made in the image of God, each of us has the unique ability to create beauty just as God created us. Starting last year, we have begun putting a special emphasis on redeeming the arts that don't get a lot attention from us on a day to day basis. Here's what some of that could look like:

Monologue and Drama
Original music
